Gope boards have also been called spirit boards.  They were believed to protect the clan.

Papua New Guinea inspired yipwons.

All three yipwons are carved on one side and stained.  They are designed to hang on the wall.

This yipwon is carved out of fir wood and stained. It is 48" tall, 9" wide, and 1" thick.

The yipwon is carved from pecan wood.  It is 36" tall, 10" wide, and 1 3/4" thick.

This piece is also carved from pecan wood.  It is 39" tall, 9" wide, and 1 3/4" thick.
